My mother passed during COVID.
We couldn't gather. We couldn't grieve together the way we needed to. The people who loved her — scattered across cities, across countries — had no place to come together and say goodbye.
I wanted that same kind of space for those who gave so much to our communities and our country — the veterans, the teachers, the first responders, the fallen heroes — by making it accessible to their families.
A mother once told me she visits her daughter's memorial every birthday, every anniversary, leaving a note as if her daughter could read it. That stayed with me. That's what we're building — a place where love continues, in whatever form it needs to take.
I wanted to build that place. Somewhere her people could return to, year after year, and find her waiting. Somewhere the tributes could live on, in one home, for as long as we needed them or they needed us.
Let's build this place together so that they can stay here forever.
